It?s cold outside y?all.? And, while I love the sight of moonlit, snowy nights? I like watching them from inside, not outside.? Yep, I?m the kid that never built a snowman.? (OK, I have, but only like 1 or 2?)?? I?m allergic to cold.? So, standing outside for community service is just not going to happen in my world.? Luckily, there are tons of alternatives!?? Today, I want to encourage you to organize and hold a Game Night Tournament!
?
?
This is how it works:? First, pick your charity.? In our family, we?d donate to our Reece?s Rainbow Angel Tree Angel, Carter.? You can do this for whatever charity you have on your heart, though.
?
Next, get your friends and family together, and a LOT of board games.? Each family/person/team gives an entrance fee, set by you.? Then, you play!? You could use a bracket system, or keep score however you want.? Winner of the tournament could get a small prize.? I wouldn?t spend too much on this, you don?t want it to take away from your donations money!? It could be something as simple as a gift card to a local restaurant, or even a gag gift.?? One idea would be to make this a tradition among your friends and family!? You could get a small trophy and have it engraved.? The family that wins the tournament gets to keep it until the next time!
?
Expand this idea however you like!?? People love competition.? Perhaps you can have a chili cook-off, a hot chocolate tasting tournament, or a prize for the cutest holiday dessert!?? Getting together, keeping in the spirit of the season, and staying warm on cold nights are what it?s all about!
?
I can?t wait to hear about your Tournament Night!
