A man has set himself a challenge to cycle from Essex to China for charity

A back pack, a tent and a spare pair of shorts is all that will be travelling with a cyclist, as he attempts to pedal from Essex to China, in just 90 days.
47 year-old Anthony Lambert, will journey to the Far East, from Buckhurst Hill, on June 1, to raise money for charity.
Over three months, Anthony expects to cycle up to 15,000 miles, passing through some treacherous terrain, in countries such as Hong Kong, Holland, Germany, Poland, Russia and even Khazakstan.
Despite being an experienced cyclist, with trips such as London to Lisbon under his belt, Anthony says that this will be his biggest challenge yet.
He said: ?It is going to be difficult, but I have wanted to do a major route for some time now.?
Anthony, who lives in Whitehall Lane, Buckhurst Hill, is also appealing for help from anybody who may have travelled along this route.
He said: ?I am starting to plan the route, so if anybody has driven it, or been to those places, then they might have some advice.
?Visa advice would be good as well as I don?t want to get stuck in a country and not be able to get across the border.
?Any knowledge that people have picked up along the way could be useful.?
Despite the great challenge ahead of him, Anthony, who works as an equipment trader, says that his cycling trips give him a rare chance to see the world.
He said: ?I have had some hilarious encounters and seem some amazing sights.
?If anybody fancies doing a leg of the journey they are more than welcome to join me.?
