STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Staten Island real estate expert Carl Neuhaus will be the guest speaker next month at two free seminars on what you should know about financial planning and retirement.
At the workshops, Neuhaus, the owner of Richmond-based Neuhaus Realty, will discuss the current state of real estate on Staten Island, what is driving the market and factors to consider when working with a Realtor.
Presented by Anthony DiMaggio of Wells Fargo Advisors, the workshops will be held in the Fountain Room at the Hilton Garden Inn in Bloomfield on Feb. 6 at 9 a.m. and on Feb. 7 at 7 p.m.
The main topic is: "America's Retirement Crisis and Seven Strategies to Help Avoid It."
Those who attend will learn ways to construct a portfolio designed to help achieve personal financial goals, preserve assets and avoid outliving their money.
Other issues to be discussed are generating penalty-free income prior to age 59 1/2; distributing assets from retirement accounts in a tax-efficient manner, and determining if a Roth IRA conversion should be considered .
Participants will receive a free copy of "So You're Seriously Thinking of Retirement: A Financial Guide."
A complimentary hot buffet breakfast will be served on Feb 6; coffee and dessert will be served on Feb. 7.
The seminars are educational in nature: No company-specific products will be discussed.
