FOOTBALL
Kohl's Professional Camps will host a one-day training camp for kickers, punters and long snappers June 22 at Bakersfield College. 25-year BC Special Teams Coach Lorenzo Alvarez will instruct, along with former Minnesota-Duluth kicking coach Luke Radke, who holds numerous career records at UMD. Sign up at kohlskicking.com to reserve a spot. Players can also contact Alvarez at (661) 330-0952 for information. Registration will begin at 7 a.m. and instruction at 9 a.m. The camp is expected to last into afternoon.
Liberty High football camp, put on by San Jose State staff, will be from 4-8 p.m. today. The camp is for all incoming freshmen through seniors. Cost is $40. Players can register online or at Liberty High today before the camp. The link is: http://www.sjsuspartans.com//pdf8/750711.pdf
GOLF
Shafter General Open Golf Tournament, 4-man best-ball scrambles, noon June 18 at North Kern Golf Course. $75 per player. All proceeds benefit Shafter High Athletic Department. Call Doug Thompson (661) 746-4961
SOCCER
Indoor Adult Soccer registrations beginning at The Zone. Women's Leagues to play on Tuesdays, Coed on Fridays, and men's leagues on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. Summer League begins in July. Registration is $350 for 10-week season. Call Tony at (661) 319-0363 for more information.

Kern River's Men's club championship winners, following several weeks of match-play competition:
Club champion: Nick Vallejo
Runner-up: Mike Yates.
Seniors flight champion: Mike Duey.
First Flight Champion: Bob Stevenson; runner-up: Larry Wiedeman.
Second flight champion: Jason Tigner; runner-up: Craig Green.
Flight champions are eligible to compete in the Southern California Golf Association's Tournament of Champions event, in December in Southern California.
