1. Firstly to send digital faxes is Plug the RJ11 telephone wire in your laptop computer and plug the other end of this wire into your telephone wall jack. If needed, disconnect your telephone temporarily and use the RJ11 telephone wire to connect your computer to the telephone line.
2. Secondly, Turn on your laptop computer and wait until the Windows XP OS sets up your desktop. And than Click Start > All Programs > Communications > Fax > Fax Console. The "Fax Console" dialog box appears.
3. Thirdly, Click File > Send a Fax and the "Send Fax Wizard" appears. Click Next and type in the name of the person in the "To" section. Press the Tab key to reach the "Fax Number" section and type in the fax telephone number.
4. The next instruction, Click Add and then Next. Use the drop-down menu to select a "Cover page template" for your fax. Type in a "Subject Line" and a "Note." The "Note" is the contents of your fax so you may want to cut and paste the information to be faxed in this section.
5. Click Next to schedule your fax. If you use the defaults, the fax will be sent "Now," and the fax priority will be "Normal".
6. The last instruction to send digital faxes is Click Next and you will be on the "Completing the Send Fax Wizard" page. Click Finish and your fax will be sent and you will be returned to the "Fax Console" dialog box. To see the fax you just sent Click "Sent Items."
